Great news for South Australia with a new battery providing power to the Yorke Peninsula region.
The new battery is designed to provide power to residents and business for two to three hours while power is restored in an area currently prone to blackouts.
The 30 megawatt battery will rely on input from AGL’s Wattle Point Wind Farm, as well as community rooftop solar.
“AGL believes energy storage technologies like this will create a bright future for low-cost power from renewables and that’s good news for households and business.”
