Energy Innovation Co-operative Ltd’s Southern C.O.R.E. (Community Owned Renewable Energy) Fund supports community groups to install renewable energy and energy efficiency measures, helping them cut power bills and reduce carbon emissions.
For most projects, community groups apply for no-interest loans. Interest-free loans are paid back to the Fund from energy savings, becoming available to support the next group’s project.

Artist Resource Collective (ARC) Yinnar is an artist-run, not-for-profit organisation, based in the striking double-brick-built old butter factory in the main street of Yinnar. The old butter factory housing the Collective is classified by the National Trust. It is a complex site which needs to be considered as a whole. It needs an extensive refit to be more energy efficient and comfortable to work within, especially during the winter cold.

ARC is a significant cultural asset for the people of the Latrobe Valley and beyond. This project provides an opportunity for the Collective to further extend its capacity to teach, to showcase, to grow the art economy and to extend the artistic and cultural life of the region. The Energy Innovation Co-operative is assisting with technical audit and development of plans, via financial support from the Latrobe Valley Community Power Hub .We’d like to help ARC raise the matched funding component which will be required. Volunteer hours do and will count. But cash is also needed.
