REGISTER OF ENVIRONMENTAL ORGANISATIONS-SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
I am pleased to advise that Energy Innovation Co-operative Ltd and its public fund have been entered onto the Register of Environmental Organisations (the Register) as of
11 October 2017.
Donations made to the public fund from the date of entry may now be eligible for a tax deduction under the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997 (Cth) (the Act). The Australian Taxation Office has been notified of your organisation’s entry onto the Register and will update your organisation’s Australian Business Register entry to reflect the public fund’s endorsement as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR).
Your organisation is required to abide by the Register’s Guidelines and the Act in order to maintain its listing on the Register. This includes the requirement to notify the Department of any changes to public fund management committee membership, your organisation’s founding documentation, your organisation’s name or the name of its public fund or if there is a departure from the model rules of the public fund.
Your organisation is also required to submit an annual statistical return to the Department. The first statistical return for the 2017-18 financial year is due by 31 October 2018.
