Schools going solar!

As part of the Northern Territory government’s Roadmap to Renewables Plan to transition the Territory to renewable energy, including a target of 50 per cent renewables by 2030. They are starting the process of rolling out their $5 million rooftop solar for schools program with an anticipated 8 schools completed by mid 2019. The NT minister for education, Selena Uibo, stated that they expect schools to be able to save 40% of their energy bills.The project will also provide many learning and development opportunities for STEM classes.
